BEAN Partners advises Rezonence on its sale to YouGov

London, UK — 13 October 2021

BEAN Partners acted as advisor to Rezonence, a leading 'marketing technology' software company, who have now been acquired by YouGov, an international research and data analytics group.

Rezonence developed its Freewall™ technology, which encourages consumers to access premium content after engaging in a micro-survey. Through its network of publishers, Rezonence can engage with over 20 million unique consumers per month in the UK and over 45 million in the US.

This strategic acquisition will allow YouGov to rapidly scale their publisher partnerships and audience activation solution globally. It will also provide YouGov clients with addressable audiences at scale through fraud-free, transparent and ethical activation.

Prash Naidu, CEO and founder of Rezonence:

"Being part of YouGov is a natural fit for Rezonence as we both want clients to reach audiences at scale ethically. FreeWall™ is bought and sold on a cost per engagement model which means the publisher only gets paid when the user actually engages with a survey or ad. This ensures that the advertiser gets 100% viewability, zero ad-blindness and the whole thing is guaranteed fraud-free.”

Stephan Shakespeare, CEO and co-founder of YouGov:

"Bringing Rezonence into the YouGov fold is a major step forward in our development from being an audience insights platform to also being an audience activation platform. The ability to engage consumers as they go about their lives online not only means clients can reach them at scale but they can do so ethically and efficiently.”

Prash Naidu, CEO and founder of Rezonence:

"From the beginning of the process BEAN Partners really understood Rezonence and how the assets in the business could disrupt incumbent forms of technology. This understanding enabled them to think creatively about potential acquirers and achieve the best outcome for us.”
