Most often referred to as 'JR'—John has the benefit of over 30 years experience in leadership and general management, with significant expertise in areas such as logistics, service support operations, business management, education and training.
John spent more than 18 years in the Australian Army, having graduated from the Royal Military College, Duntroon and the Australian Army Command and Staff College.
His service included a rewarding two year stint where he was seconded to the staff of the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Here he was responsible for planning and liaison functions as part of the procurement and delivery of support services for international peacekeeping operations.
John is located in Queensland's south east, giving BEAN a new presence in Eastern Australia from late 2018. He has since worked closely in conjunction with the Leadership team and London office to enhance BEAN's strategic communication, information management and research capabilities.
His formal qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Management Studies and a Masters degree with studies in strategy, operations, leadership and communication from the University of Canberra. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the Institute of Managers and Leaders, where he plans to undertake assessment for recognition as a 'Chartered Manager'.
